Supporting Our Community Through 3D Printing

Changing the way to repair bike is possible. We’ve done it before.

Community bike shops face a constant challenge: sourcing affordable, essential parts. Often, these parts are hard to find, expensive, or have long lead times, hindering their ability to serve their communities.

Fly-Wheel is changing that.

We empower community bike shops by providing a reliable source of low-cost, custom 3D printed parts. Our network of volunteer 3D printer owners utilizes open-source designs to create the parts shops need, when they need them. This means faster repairs, reduced costs, and more bikes back on the road.

Redefining how we repair home appliance components is now a reality. We're broadening our solutions to address even more applications.

A project was launched to 3D-print essential plastic components for home appliances, addressing repair challenges where full replacements often cost over $100.

The Fly-Wheel catalog now includes items like dishwasher rack wheels and refrigerator hinges, made with durable, safe colorFabb nGen filament.

These 3D-printed solutions save an estimated $150–$200 per repair, offering a practical, affordable alternative.

Reimagining playtime with innovative 3D-printed toys is just the beginning. We're exploring limitless possibilities to inspire creativity and fun for all.

3D printing offers an innovative way to create durable toys for children. These toys inspire creativity and provide a safe, enjoyable means for children to learn through play. The plan includes donating them to local libraries to promote accessible and interactive play experiences.

Material tested with PLA, PHA, and HTPLA has refined the toys for safety and durability. Optimized for strength and resilience, they can withstand active use while remaining non-toxic, making them ideal for educational and recreational purposes.

Whether you’re interested in joining our programs as bike shop partners, local libraries, or comfortable contributing your 3D printing time to make 3D printing parts, or donating money to help us grow our network and part design repository, we need you on our team.
